CNN has recently listed Everest Base Camp as the top 10 destination for adventure trip for 2011. CNN has decleared in its online version, the thrill of high altitude trekking in Nepal which was once available only to a gung-ho few, has become more accessible recently.
Nepal Tourism Year 2011(NTY 2011) has just started and the country is celebrating the NTY 2011. CNN has included "Everest base camp" in its 10 best trip for 2011 which is a great advantage in this celebration. According the CNN report , Word Travel and Travel writer Robin Esrock is leading to the base camp in April 2011, this trip will start from the Kathmandu , the capital of Nepal to the Sherpa village of Tengboche Monastery where enthralled hikers get excellent views of the mountain rocks the Himalayas such as Tawache, Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Lhotese, Mt. Ama Dablam etc.
The travelers will have opportunity to see the Khumbu Glacier and the famous place Kala Patther, where the Nepalese cabinet meeting was held to attract the concern of the world to the Climate change. The trek is designed to fulfill the dream of many people of experiencing the historic route to the base of the world's highest mountain, Similarly, the UK's leading magazine–The Observer (on January 11, 2004)– had also chosen the Everest Base Camp in ‘20 Journeys of a Lifetime.'The World Expeditions hike to Everest Base Camp is scheduled to begin from April 4-24, 2011.The CNN coverage and the international expedition in April is expected to boost tourism promotion in Nepal at the backdrop of Nepal Tourism Year 2011.
